My story

Hi, I’m Lucie, founder of L’heure du goûter. After spending 10 years working in pharmacy, I decided to take a new path while I was pregnant.

Why vegan baking ? Simply because I’ve always loved making delicious cakes and cookies. It reminds me of holidays spent in the kitchen with my grandmother, and one of my earliest childhood memories is baking marble cakes with my dad. Baking has always been a part of me, and it was then that I realized I wanted to dedicate myself to it. That’s when I decided to pursue my Pastry CAP, which I obtained in July 2023.
In January 2024, I completed a training program at the National School of Vegan Pastry, L’okara.

Alongside Linda Vongdara, I spent a week developing my theoretical knowledge and refining my techniques in vegan pastry.

What is vegan Baking ?

As I reduced my consumption of meat, fish, and other animal products, it seemed completely illogical to keep using them heavily in baking. Through research and experimentation, I realized it’s entirely possible to create delicious pastries without eggs, milk, butter, gelatin, honey, and more.

This is what we call plant-based or vegan baking.

Beyond satisfying those looking to reduce or eliminate animal products from their diet, I’m also thrilled to delight the taste buds of people with lactose or dairy protein intolerances.

Finally, everyone can enjoy my pastries. They are made for all dessert lovers !
